“Life is a Cabernet” Tasting and Apps Party at Le Chateau, 7:00 PM, Friday, November 3, $45/person

“An Exploration of ‘Other’ Grape Varieties” Seminar at Old Rittenhouse Inn, 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 4, $45/person

“Sideways Pinot Noir Dinner,” 6-Courses with Wines at Old Rittenhouse Inn, 6:30 PM, Saturday, November 4, $75/person

Friday’s event, Life is a Cabernet, offers Cabs from Trefethen, Buehler, Round Pond, and Daou and a buffet with Blue Cheese Bacon Tart, Brie En Croute With Fig Preserves, 40 cloves of Garlic Chicken, Cabernet Sausage, Polenta with Tomato Jam and Walnuts, Chevre Olive Tapenade Pinwheels, Chocolate Chip Cookies and Cranberry Snickerdoodles. $45/person.

Saturday’s Pinot Noir Dinner features Ragu of Smoked Chicken, Black Trumpet Mushrooms, Wild Ramps and Eucalyptus, a Squash and Apple Bisque, Spinach Salad with Oyster Mushrooms, leeks and bacon vinaigrette, and a Sorbet. Entrée’s: Grilled Salmon Filet and Shrimp with Pinot Noir Beurre Rouge and parmesan couscous OR Sliced Beef Tenderloin Roast with Michigan cherry sauce, potato croquette and cherry tomatoes with parsnips. Dessert is a Chocolate and Strawberry Torte. Courses paired with Pinot Noirs from Dipinti, Faiveley, Cherry Pie, Migration, King Estate and Decoy. $75/person.
