A New Cookbook for the Old Rittenhouse Inn

Old Rittenhouse Inn Cookbook Recipes

New Cookbook Arrives in July

Here at the Inn, the excitement is building for the impending release of our new cookbook! After nearly two years of hard work, The Old Rittenhouse Inn Cookbook: Meals and Memories from the Historic Bayfield B&B will soon arrive.

The book is a cooking tool and a souvenir highlighting the Bayfield area and the Inn itself. As you’d expect, our favorite recipes are featured: breakfast dishes, appetizers, soups, salads, sorbet, entrees and side dishes, desserts and cocktails.

In addition, readers will also discover the “inn-sider” history of the Old Rittenhouse Inn as well as many funny stories, memories and photos from our beginnings as a five room Bed & Breakfast to the twenty room Inn and gourmet restaurant of today.

Making the Cut
Recipes for the book were chosen because they are signature dishes that are frequently served at Landmark Restaurant and/or requested by guests, or because the main ingredients are raised or harvested locally. A few of the recipes are “classic” dishes from our first cookbook, Favorite Recipes from the Old Rittenhouse Inn, developed in 1992 by original chef and owner/innkeeper Mary Phillips.

Where Do I Find the Book?
The cookbook will be available at all the usual outlets including regional bookstores, Barnes & Noble, amazon.com etc. within the next week. Signed copies are available at the Old Rittenhouse Inn and through our web site beginning July 17th, 2014.

Party Time!
A Book Release Party is set for Wednesday, July 30 here at the Inn, with hors oeuvres and a cash bar from 3pm to 6pm. Author Mark Phillips and major content contributors Matt Chingo (our executive chef) and Julie Phillips (our resident mixologist) will be on hand to visit and sign copies. Space is limited, so if you’d like to attend, please RSVP to [email protected] today and let us know!
