Perhaps touring one of Bayfield’s three nearby wineries is up your alley. Hauser’s Superior View Farm is home to Bayfield Winery. Just down the road are Seven Ponds Winery and Pikes Creek Winery at Highland Valley Farm. Dinner at the Old Rittenhouse Inn’s Landmark Restaurant is always in season, topped off with a night cap atop the Bayfield Inn deck overlooking the harbor and Lake Superior. Madeline Island across the water offers great biking (it’s flat compared to the hills of Bayfield!) with rentals available from Motion to Go, great hiking trails, and beautiful beaches. There’s also great people watching at Tom’s Burned Down Café and good food at Café Seiche or the Madeline Island Food Truck.
