After a site tour and consultation, our Events Director begins work on planning the logistics of your special day. You can count on her for arranging guest accommodations, setting up ceremony details (officiate, florist, musicians, photography), securing a tent canopy or rental equipment, preparing ceremony and receptions sites, assisting with menu and beverage selections, and coordinating staff. Innkeepers, Jerry Phillips and Mark Phillips, are licensed officiates. Every year, each performs many wedding and renewal of vows ceremonies. A consultation, rehearsal attendance, performance of the service, and filing of the marriage license is included. Couples can choose from several prepared ceremonies to customize a service that is meaningful for them, or provide their own. Our Event Coordinator works closely with you and our Executive Chef to ensure a memorable dining experience. From a leisurely afternoon luncheon to an elegant plated dinner, banquet-style buffet, or appetizer reception, Old Rittenhouse Inn's Landmark Restaurant offers many dining options to suit your taste and budget.
Our Beverage Hostess assists you in selecting champagne for a toast, or the perfect wines to accompany your meal. Knowledge of our extensive wine list (and a good relationship with purveyors when special orders are requested) allows the matching of your tastes with your budget.
For most events, selections for champagne, wine, and beer are made in advance to ensure they are stocked and chilled. Although Old Rittenhouse Inn lacks a formal lounge, set-up of a bar may be possible indoors, or on the wrap-around porch. Cocktail service and specialty drinks are also available.
With instructions from our Events Director, our friendly, efficient staff will handle the decoration and set-up of your event, the service of food and beverages, as well as the clean-up afterward. Personal details make your event special and our staff is there to ensure every detail is in place.
