MORE

Welcome to the Rittenhouse Inn. It is our sincere hope that you enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay with us when visiting Bayfield, Wisconsin. We strive to create an atmosphere of romance, comfort and hospitality.

The Old Rittenhouse Inn, our main building, was built in 1890 as a summer cottage for Adjunct Civil War General, Allen Fuller. In 1975 Jerry and Mary Phillips purchased the home and decided to “test the waters” with a new business concept: a Bed and Breakfast. Over the next 30+ years, the
Rittenhouse Inn has grown to include three other Bayfield homes: Le Chateau Boutin and the Rittenhouse Cottage. (click links for Virtual Tours)

Today Innkeepers Jerry and Mary Phillips are joined by their son, Mark, his wife, Wendy, and Jerry’s sister, Julie. The Phillips family invites you to experience the charm and hospitality of the Old Rittenhouse Inn and beautiful Bayfield, WI.
