Wild
Foods Weekend - May 18-19, 2007
 ver
wonder how someone can go for a simple hike and return with
something from the wild to use in a salad or side dish?
The Rittenhouse Inn thrives on this concept.
Spring
seems to arrive overnight, but those who enjoy harvesting
wild ingredients are keenly aware of weather changes and
new plant growth at this time of year.
Join us to learn what kinds of “wild foods”
can be harvested, and when and where to find them. An afternoon
seminar offers helpful hints like cleaning and storing your
goods; even recipes for creating your own dishes. Breakfast
and dinner allow you to enjoy samples such as fiddlehead
ferns, forest mushrooms, watercress, and more!
