Brunch begins with a choice of salads including Mesclun
greens kissed with tangy balsamic vinaigrette, parmesan
cheese & shaved chocolate, or a layered fruit parfait
with yogurt & granola.
Entrées may include a ham & swiss quiche, Bayfield
berry-filled pancakes, steak & eggs, stuffed French
toast with Bayfield fruit, or a savory lobster ravioli with
a saffron and vermouth sauce. Breakfast meats, oven roasted
potatoes, and fresh Lake Superior fish are some featured
side dishes.
The “sweet conclusion” to your meal includes
desserts like our classic sundaes, fresh-baked pies, tortes,
and creamy cheesecakes.
Light Lunch - Choose from soup du jour,
salads, sandwiches, specials, & desserts.
Full wine list with beers, cocktails, and appertifs also
served.
“We're about creating options for our guests,”
says Innkeeper Jerry Phillips. “Some prefer a light
lunch or just want to relax with a book and some wine. The
Inn offers a ‘slow food’ experience, a meal
to be lingered over, preferably in the company of friends.”

evening the Rittenhouse Inn serves gourmet dinner by candlelight.
Our dining rooms have been called "most romantic
in the Midwest," and readers of Wisconsin Trails
voted us "Best Restaurant" as well as "Best
Romantic B&B" in Wisconsin. Reservations Recommended.
Signature 5-Course Dinner
Selections of soups, salads, a tart fruit sorbet
course, entreés, & desserts will tempt even
the most discriminating diner. $49/person, plus
tax & gratuity.
2-Course
Petite Dinner
In an effort to offer the smaller meal for which
some of our guests have asked, we're pleased to announce
our 2-Course Petite Dinner. Begin your
meal with soup or salad, followed by a selection from
our entree list. Both courses are chosen from our full
dinner menu. A dessert course is available ala carte.

Sherried Cream of Mushroom
A rich soup of roasted cremini, shiitake, &
oyster mushrooms pureed with vegetable stock and
cream. Sherried morel mushrooms garnish.
White
Bean with Smoked Salmon Tartare
White beans simmered with parsnips, celery, onions
& Bayfield leeks. Garnished with a tartare of
smoked sockeye salmon with coarse rosemary-flavored
salt.
Salads
Lake Superior Smoked Trout
Flakes of smoked Lake Superior trout tossed with
aged Wisconsin cheddar cheese, chives, chilled wild
rice, mixed greens and a creamy horseradish mayonnaise.
Spinach with Honey Pecan Dressing
Baby spinach tossed with Jonah Gold apples, English
Stilton cheese, and honey pecan vinaigrette. Topped
with toasted pecans.
Sorbet
Wild Blackberry Sorbet

Reddened Lake Superior Trout
Fresh trout seasoned with spicy Rittenhouse reddening.
Pan seared & served with vegetables du jour.
Chicken Confit
Slow-cooked chicken, pan-seared & served on
fresh arugala, local berries, and crepes filled
with pulled chicken breast, lemon, marscapone cheese,
herbs, & creme fraiche. Finished with a blackberry
gastrique.
Rittenhouse Apple Glazed Pork Chop
A two-inch thick, center-cut chop seasoned with
sage, thyme, rosemary, and garlic. Slow roasted
and served with apple marmalade glaze & pan
jus.
Chef’s Cut Lamb
Today’s fresh cut of local lamb served with
gnocci dumplings, black olives, sage, roasted pumpkin,
and seasoned pumpkin seeds.
Steak Bercy
Seven ounce filet mignon brushed with an infusion
of red wine, garlic, fresh herbs, butter & lemon.
Grilled and served with wild forest mushrooms &
Bercy sauce
Desserts
Rittenhouse Cheesecake
Our rich and creamy New York-style cheesecake recipe
is a classic. Garnished with fresh fruit glazes
and Bayfield berries.
Orange Blossom Torte
Thinly sliced layers of white almond cake bread
brushed with orange liqueur, rich white chocolate
buttercream, and Rittenhouse preserves.
Turtle Sundae
Hot fudge and rum sauce served on praline pecan
ice cream and topped with bananas, whipped cream,
and crushed walnuts.
Porto Finale
Complete your evening with a glass of Tawny or Ruby
Porto.
Extensive wine
